Navotas Elementary School – 1 is one of the oldest and well-known learning  institutions in the public elementary schools in the entire district of Navotas 1. The school started in an improved “kamalig” owned by Mrs. Trinidad Santos. When the lot where the school was constructed and was sold, classes were transferred at the ground of San Jose Convent. The school was then known as “kumbento”.  It was on March of 1974 that the new building was inaugurated  and ready for use and occupancy. At present, the school has a population of 24 teachers and 801 students under the supervision and leadership of Mr. Dinno P. Mendiola
